this past weekend was spent in nyc with tly and engaging in various activities - pub crawling, mermaid watching, priding, and sleeping on dirty floors (you really should vacuum). it was, in the american vernacular, awesome. yet disheartening because i'm falling further and further behind in keeping up with the joneses, and this latest setback - failing to obtain an internship is bitter. That said, I am consoled by London and all its prospects, but I want immediacy, I want now.
painting and maintenance (or as ly calls it "wash toilet") is a blow to the ego and a kick in the ass. it's a reminder that if you can't, you will sink to the bottom of the totem pole.
also, GRE preparation is rather similar to SATs, major word memorization and grouping; i plan to take it in august.
