my hip quotient - nil

on my way to work today, i had to make a detour because the police had cordoned off a section of berkeley street where fbr is located.
as the day progressed, it was made known that there had been a stabbing the previous night at a club on that street.
it's quite sad really because it really goes to show my current hip quotient because i didn't know there was a hot celebrity hang-out next door to the building i live in.
