goodbye london

it's wrap-up week here in london. the internship is over, the papers are done and the exams are mostly over! the planning for europe is mostly finalized and the goodbyes are nowhere near finished.
on thursday, the office bought the interns a going away party at a pool bar and it was a fantastic time. i sipped cosmopolitan after cosmopolitan laughing with the receptionist. my director was so smashingly drunk. everyone was very nice.
this thursday, i'll be at the office christmas party and say one last goodbye to everyone in the office before i leave first thing in the morning on friday.
last night, we celebrated my housemates' birthdays: chris, kevin and james. we started the night with irish car bombs in the flat and then a bar nearby and then to leicester square for a club. the club covers were so expensive and i was quite wasted by then so i told everyone i had to go home. my head was throbbing and i barely remember the trip back.
as you can see, i will miss london, my co-workers and my housemates a lot.

this was on the headlines of the star online ed today.
i didn't know which was funnier: the use of the word taugeh instead of beansprouts on the national English newspaper, the fact that the price of taugeh going up by 10 sen warrants an entire news report or the picture of the middle aged dude manhandling his taugeh while wearing really short shorts who reminds me of a char kuey teow seller - he makes me sentimental and wistful.
